Teaching and learning go hand in hand; I believe I have just as much to learn from my students as they do from me. As an educator, my goal is not only to teach art but to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and confidence in every student.
Art is more than just technique; it’s a powerful way to explore ideas, express emotions, and make sense of the world. I strive to create a welcoming and engaging classroom where students feel encouraged to take risks, trust their instincts, and grow as both artists and individuals.
I believe that meaningful learning stems from strong relationships. Building trust between teacher and student—as well as student to student—is essential for creating a classroom community where everyone feels safe, supported, and empowered to share their voice. These relationships form the backbone of a collaborative and respectful learning environment.
Beyond teaching artistic skills, I am committed to helping students become compassionate, well-rounded thinkers. I want them to leave my classroom not only with a deeper understanding of art but also with the confidence to make bold choices, embrace challenges, and see the value in their unique perspectives.
In my classroom, every student’s voice matters, and I am here to support and inspire them on their creative journey.
